You may be interested to know that the Charity may sometimes have vacancies for Volunteer Trustees. A description of the role now follows.

Volunteer Trustees

This may provide an excellent opportunity for volunteers who have a sound knowledge of our area, who understand the challenges inherent in urban poverty, and who believe they could assist in managing the allocation of significant existing funds to help address those challenges.

Being a Trustee can be a fulfilling role, requiring the right decision making skills allied to a commitment to attend a relatively small number of two-hour evening grant giving meetings in each year – and offering a great deal in return. From time to time we have vacancies in this area - and we would be very happy to talk to people who might be interested, should one such vacancy arise. We would be particularly interested in talking to people who have knowledge which might help with small grants for educational needs, or in charity investment options. (But these are by no means essential skills)
